Hastings Country ParkLocated to the east of the town with over 267 hectared of ancient woodland, heathland and grassland lying within 3 miles (5km) of dramatic cliffs and coastline. Most of the area has been designated a Special Area of Conservation, a site of Special Scientific Interest and is a proposed Local Nature Reserve

The Park has 267 hectares (660 acres) of ancient woodland, heathland and grassland together with 5 kilometres of dramatic cliffs and coastline. Lying within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty most of the park has been designated a Special Area of Conservation, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and it is now a Nature Reserve of international importance.

The park is also of archaeological importance due to its impressive number of archaeological finds and landmarks. A large area of East Hill is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and nearly all the park has been identified as an Area of Archaeological Interest.

When using the park, please follow the Countryside Code and help us protect this extraordinary place for the visitors of today and tomorrow.
