Chatsworth Hotel Hasting's is committed to the health of all our guests and staff. In the interests of all our guests, all Chatsworth Hotel bedrooms are nonsmoking.
The hotel, as a building open to the public, has a legal duty to provide a safe working environment for it's staff and visitors. As of July 1st 2007, it is now ilegal to smoke in a confined public space. There is now a majority of people in the United Kingdom who do not smoke and who increasingly believe that their health is at risk when their environment is polluted with tobacco smoke. The objective of the No Smoking Policy is to establish a healthy environment for all staff and visitors and its success depends upon the consideration and co-operation of both smokers and non-smokers.
Smoking is now totally prohibited in all the hotel. This includes guest rooms, corridors, bars and lavatories. Smoke alarms are fitted where necessary. Anyone found smoking in a guest room will be politely asked to stop as they will be breaking the law.
